Poetry by Miss Tiffany

Miss Tiffany is 8 years old and already has some deep thought in her poetry. Here is a fine example of her work.

I Know My Girl Wasn't On My Side
(Tiffany's Song)

Three o'clock in the morning I woke up
I noticed
My girl wasn't on my side
I asked
"Have you seen a girl with brown and blackish hair?"
They Said," Yea, We saw her downtown."
So I went downtown.
I saw the girl with brown and blackish  hair.
I said, "Come on home Girl, it's not safe there!"
"It's not safe down there for your kids!"
You never know
When someone's gonna kick down your door
You never know
When you're in bed and someone steals your kids!
You never know
It's not safe down there.

Poetry by Mr. James "Jimmy" Devon Tilton

Mr Tilton is Age 11 and has put some deep thought into his poetry

 Stop - The Quiet Place

As the clock stops at twelve

Screaming turns the whispers

Tsunami turns to splashes

Hurricanes turn to breezes

Sun turns to shadows

Chaos turns to unity

And I turn to God.
